What it is

A laminated woven retail bag with a carry handle punched through the top of the bag itself, so no separate handle part is needed. Because woven fabric tears easily from a cut edge, the handle area is reinforced with a laminate patch, a folded-over top flap or heat-sealed edges that fuse the cut tape ends, and the opening can be a plain slot, a D-cut, a kidney or oval cut, or twin slots. Common on retail packs of rice, charcoal, potting mix, cat litter, firewood and wild bird seed.
